چکیده
_The world of endodontics has incorporated new technologies, instruments and materials in the past decade, such as operating microscopes, digital radiography, CBCT, NiTi rotary shaping files, sonic and ultrasonic instruments, and new irrigation delivery systems. However, despite all these improvements, the overall outcome, especially of non-surgical endo dontics, has not increased significantly.1–8

Mandibular First Molar with Five Canals: A Report of Three Cases
The main objective of endodontic therapy is the thorough mechanical and chemical cleansing of the entire root canal system and its complete obturation with an inert filling material. Failure to find and fill a canal contributes toward the failure of endodontic therapy .The root canal anatomy of mandibular first molars is complex. Studies of the morphologic structure of root canal systems hav...
متن کاملIdentification and Endodontic Management of Confluent Middle Mesial Canal in Mandibular First Molar: A Case Report
Knowledge and understanding of the root canal anatomy is fundamental in achieving the successful endodontic treatment outcome. Occurrence of variations in root canal anatomy is common and frequency may vary according to population. This paper discusses a clinical report of root canal therapy in a permanent mandibular first molar and emphasizes the importance of magnification for the assessment,...
متن کاملCase Report: Permanent Maxillary First Molar with Two Roots and Two Canals: A Rare Case Report
Abstract: Human maxillary first molars are usually considered as three-rooted teeth with four root canals for the presence of a second canal in the Mesio Buccal root (MB2). In addition, lateral ramifications and apical delta of the root canal system may frequently occur, increasing the probability of leaving untreated spaces after the root canal therapy. A thorough knowledge of root canal mor...
متن کاملA Survey on Anatomy of Mesiobucal Root Canal in Permanent Maxillary First Molar Using CBCT in Rafsanjan in 2018: A Descriptive Study
Background and Objectives: The anatomy of maxillary molars is very complicated and root canal therapy for this specific group of teeth is a major challenge for dentists. Given the limitations of conventional techniques for finding the second mesiobuccal canal (MB-2) and anatomical differences observed in different ethnicities, this study aimed to determine the anatomy of mesiobuccal root canal ...
متن کاملRoot anatomy and canal configuration of the permanent mandibular first molar: a systematic review.
INTRODUCTION The main goal of endodontic therapy is to prevent or heal apical periodontitis. However, root canal anatomy might present a clinical challenge directly related to the treatment outcome. The purpose of this study was to review published literature related to root anatomy and root canal configuration of the permanent mandibular first molar. METHODS An exhaustive search was undertak...
